About Me

Hi, I'm Kara.  I'm a 30 year old mother of 2 with an intense love of books, DIY design, and all things family.  I've long wanted to create a blog, but life and other obligations got in the way.  As my 29th birthday was approaching I decided to create a list of thirty things I want to accomplish before I turn 30.  This blog will begin with my journey to complete those tasks, with a healthy dose of family, too.

The hub's name is Frank.  We met in a bar.  I've heard the saying, "You don't find a pearl in a pigpen" but I actually did.  Frank is a basement musician, music lover, and very charismatic people person.  To know him is to love him, and I certainly do.  Frank and I have been married for 5 years and we still make each other laugh everyday.

Lenon is my wonderful, adorable, good-natured, caring 11 year old step-son.  I've been a mother figure in his life since he was 3, and I consider him my own.  He's a 5th grader who loves Legos, ghost stories and magic... and of course, his younger brother.

Ezra is my baby.  He's 2 and the apple of my eye.  He has gone from baby to toddler so fast it makes my head spin.  He loves "car-carsh" (crackers), Yo Gabba Gabba, and his stuffed penguin, Greg.  Watching him grow and learn and seeing the excitement in his eyes at things I may find mundane makes me smile everyday.
